Jurisdiction Summit May 19 & 20

A Jurisdiction Summit will be held May 19 and 20, 2026 at the Ramkota Hotel in Pierre, SD. Sessions will be on understanding and navigating jurisdiction across the lifespan in Indian Country and surrounding communities. From child welfare and ICWA to law enforcement coordination, multidisciplinary teams, victim services, and emerging technology, this summit will explore how tribal, federal, state, and local systems intersect — and how stronger collaboration improves outcomes for victims, families, and communities.
This event is designed for: tribal, state, and federal law enforcement, prosecutors and court personnel, victim advocates and service providers, child welfare professionals, tribal leadership and program administrators, policy leaders and legislators. articipants will leave with enhanced understanding of jurisdictional pathways, practical tools for collaboration, and strengthened cross-system relationships. The summit provides an opportunity for shared learning and dialogue across systems.
